Good Doggie Day Care was built on a simple idea: dogs deserve a safe, comfortable place to spend their day—where they are treated like family, not kept in cages.
Where It All Began
Good Doggie Day Care was founded by JoAnne Garrett, who set out to create the kind of care she couldn’t find for her own dogs. When nothing met her expectations, she created
a place where dogs could play freely, rest comfortably, and feel genuinely cared for. That commitment to thoughtful, attentive care is still at the heart of everything we do.
Today, Good Doggie Day Care is proudly owned and operated by Jackie Venia, who is dedicated to continuing JoAnne’s vision and providing the same trusted, high-quality care for every dog in our pack.
Jackie grew up on a farm, surrounded by animals, and was raised in a large, family run business that shaped both her love for animals and her natural entrepreneurial spirit.
On April 1st, 2025, GDDC expanded the business by moving to a larger, upgraded facility—creating more space and an improved environment for the dogs in our care.
Now the pack has more room to play, explore, and relax throughout the day.
